I’ve not used their service, so I can’t comment on that, but I will advise people to stay away from any hosting company with the practice of watching new domain registrations and then telemarketing their services to the registrants. A Google search for “aplus.net telemarketing” should tell you all you need to know.

I cancelled hosting with Aplus.net to change to another hosting company. They charged me for another year’s hosting after I had cancelled their services and refused to refund the charge for a service that I didn’t use. Stay away from Aplus.net at ALL COSTS. They are nothing but slimy rip-off artists.

Don’t ever prepay. There is NO REFUND if you cancel or dislike thier service.
I signed up for a Commerce account. Installed my forum script, then emailed my 3,000 plus subscribers using the forum script telling them of the new move. After 800 emails Aplus didn’t just shut down my emailing, they shut down my entire site, then didn’t let me know for 4 days.
It turns out there is a limit on how many emails one can send per hour. If you can’t contact your customers using eCommerce hosting, what can you do?
Unbelievable lack of sense in dealing with another person’s business.

I used them on behalf of a client (in other words, going with them wasn’t my idea) a couple of years ago, when, I suspect, they had a significantly larger market share. At least, they certainly deserve to have lost market share, because they were absolutely terrible.
Their support structure seemed to be non-existent, and their web-based “control panel” (if you could even call it that) was so slow and buggy as to be almost useless. Their DNS controls, in particular, were just comically deficient.
I am surprised to see that they are still in business.

Aplus is a nightmare. STAY AWAY. They have limited or no technical expertise and the customer service is abysmal. I have been trying to get an MX record altered for more than 3 weeks and they still cant figure out how to accomlish this 3 minute change. Now they lost all my email distribution lists! Ahhhh!

I really don’t understand why everyone complained about Aplus. I was expecting to read some positive reviews. I am really sorry to hear about that but I currently use them since 2007 that means over 2 years and what can I say is that I was happy. My website was online all the time and when I needed to ask something the live chat was helpful for me. Otherwise I can’t say anything bad about them because I would lie. I just hope that it will stay this way.
