CPU’s always seem to be maxed out and throttling affects the functionality of websites – so if you have a VERY busy website and utilize the heck out of phpBB/Gallery2/etc. then it may not be the greatest host for you. However, dollar for dollar, its been greate for me!

This is, overall, the best hosting provider I’ve ever come across. Six domains, 200 GB of storage (neither of which I’ll ever be able to fully utilize), an incredible amount of bandwidth and email addresses… Definitely a lot of bang for the buck (and a free domain to boot). The inclusion of SSH access is a nice touch, especially for people who want to run command line applications (such as Perl). I’ve only needed to contact support once, and that was for activation of the SSH, and while the support was very quick, I did have a few problems (the site said to send an email, but I was really supposed to file a support ticket). Other than that, I have to say that Bluehost is amazing. The best value I’ve ever come across in a web host.

The bandwidth (mentioned by Cody Logan)has been addressed right now. I have been managing websites for about ten years (mainly for clients) and have tried many. Blue host is without doubt the best. The support is great (despite them having a squillion domains hosted) and the price is good. The also have a great range of free and easily installed PHP programs. EXCELLENT value.

I’ve been using web hosts since my first web site was up on Flash.net in 1997 or so. So far my BlueHost experience has been excellent. Transferring domains was simple and smooth, my sites have never been down, the Fantastico WordPress installs were flawless. What’s not to love?

I rarely review companies but I have been using Bluehost for several years now and I love their service. Their customer support is one of the best in the industry. Their features are always expanding and improving. And their president even regularly updates a blog to let you know what’s going on at the company. Their price is extremely competitive and unless something really bad happens in the near future, I will be sticking with Bluehost for a long time to come.

I have used Bluehost for 3 years without any issues. I am not a power user like the people above but now that they have Unlimited domains and upto 50 SQL databases it has become a great value for multi-blogger people.

Huge space and a lot of databases offered, excellent support. The downside is that the server is often overloaded, the website is painfully slow. This is clearly not suitable for a commerce site.

Very disappointed with Bluehost. Maybe I got unluckly with the server I was laced on, but my site was down way too many times. I contacted customer support and they could never give me a solid reason. I’d ask if the technician new why, and they wouldn’t even know what the techs were working on or what they claim to have fixed. Ended up moving my domain to a different host

Blue Host has outperformed all previous hosts. They run a hosting company with hosting as their main product. The business focus is primarily on the service for those that feed them. Pricing is in line with the amount of service and features.

Now unlimited Domains & Bandwidth with separate panels to manage your domain functions from your cPanel activities. I am not a proficient web developer which is why Blue Host shines above the mediocre regime. They are there for all and they are all about their help.

Uptime has far surpassed expectations. No pressure to bring business to them for shared revenue.

Blue Host is the best in the opinion of many!

Their shared hosting is not good, many down times, loading pages takes ages and some weeks ago they limited CPU usage without warning, one of my PHP scripts just ceased working, pretty bad.

I started off using GoDaddy.com and it didn’t take me long to realize that they’re a complete rip off for what they actually offer. I now use Bluehost for all of my hosting and I plan on using them forever. They’re always up, have tons of bandwidth and storage, and include fantisco, which is a must for anyone serious about building websites. I would recommend Bluehost and Bluehost only for all of your hosting needs.

Started off using Bluehost but server kept going down. Server was down 13% in the month I used them. Bluehost support suggest I go somewhere else if I needed close to 100% uptime, so I did.

Bluehost is the sister company of HostMonster. Both of their staffs are complete assholes and don’t give a crap about customers cuz they have too many already. Shut off one of my websites for 4 days until their “abuse team” could “confirm” whether or not my site was engaged in some bullshit that somebody reported erroneously. Stay away. Far away.

My experience has been that Bluehost is not a reputable company. I have several complex web sites. One of them was hacked and became subject of a phishing attack. I worked with their technical team and we thought we had the problem resolved. It reappeared and they suspended my account and without warning, they gave me 15 days to remove my files. Now I am banned and get to spend my holidays to find another provider. Their ‘abuse’ department said that this was their written policy. I asked for a copy of this policy and they said they could not find it. They are probably find so long as your site never gets attached but if you do, be prepared to be thrown off their servers with no warning. Pathetic customer service and surly, condescending incredibly rude customer service people. If you are running sites of any complexity, my advice is to stay away from these guys at all costs.

Two times I have experienced that my website is down for minutes (10 minutes one time and other about 20 minutes). And it loads wery slowly for me. I connect from Latvia (near Russia). I understand that it is long distance. But bluehost.com and other pages hosted in America loads much faster. My opinion is that bluehost is not serious hosting. With bluehost is not possible to host bussiness website. Website visitors do not wait 30 seconds to load each page…. Payind to bluehost is waste of money…. If they will write in their page that their hosting is offered ”as it is” without any waranties, it may be understandable… but it is not good to write that their hosting is good and offer such s….

Bluehost hosts way too many domains on one server. And if you have more than 500 visitors a day they’ll deactivate your account. Search for “bluehost deactivated” and safe yourself some trouble!

They are quite proactive in what they are doing. They suspended my account without my permission, and emailing me that my site is causing their server to be unstable.
They refused to get one of my important sites to be published live first until I solve that problem.
