I wonder why i have heard bad comments on Globat. I have not expirience any trouble with their services. Although there are some minor downtimes their server is quite ok. The tech support always addresses my concers and acts on it automatically. I have had worst from hostmonster. The terabyte xs is good and provided the needs of my site.

I used for one year , then i give up , lake server and lots down time. tried for second time when they are upgraded the server, same thing.

Great hoster if you need my opinion.

I have been with Globat since 2003 and I am still hosting with them. Had no reason to transfer to another provider.
What I love about Globat is the great amount of web space, also, I believe there are many useful features. I only pay $7.50 and have 1000 MB of web server space for my sites and files and the 50 Gigs of bandwidth! I also use Flash and MYSQL, which is important for my sites.
Either I am just lucky, or Globat is an OK hosting provider.

They got a nice service, excellent support overall very good host.

Globat put the screws to my with those auto uprgades they do.
I was on vacation, thought the emails were some kind of spam saying if you don’t goto the site they will charge your card the $49 and $29 for upgrades to my account.
This thing goes on for 6 months adding up to hundreds of dollars on my credit card and I’m going what is going on.

It took me dozens of emails and calls to my credit card company and telling them to take me off thier email list.

Just a couple of days ago I get another one saying give them one more chance.

They hit my CC for $49 several times even though I didn’t authorize them to. I finally had to cancel my account with them in order to get them to stop.

Their customer service was non-existent. I would only use them as a last resort…like if all other web host disappeared off the face of the earth and they were the only ones left. Then I’d still have to think about it before using them again! Scammers!

first the required to opt-out from an automatic upgrade (!!!) then they didn’t stop spamming me about a new account.

The worst hosting company. Their servers are not webmaster friendly, the control panel is clunky and slow and as others have mentioned, they send you an email saying they will charge you $49 UNLESS you tell them not to. But then they keep spamming you every few months with the email. Definite no go. Don’t even get me started on the server speed!

I have 3 websites hosted with Globat and they all work very well. I had never received spam emails asking me for money otherwise for sure I would have changed.
I have some ’standard’ html and also php database driven websites and they both work equally well.
This is in my opinion a great value and am surprised by some comments although Globat’s offer could bother some competitors
