Very good and friendly support service. A sudden (and unfortunately unannounced) change seem to render the former access link into their cPanel admin interface inoperative. My question was quickly responded to, and in a friendly, helpful way. The lad still didn’t say though why they had made the sudden changeover, or (worse) why they don’t seem to have a policy of simply advising clients by e-mail about important changes.

I have a small website (about 100 visitors a day) and InMotion has kept it up and I’ve never had a problem with my website going down. I also use Subversion for version control on my software projects through the site and it’s pretty smooth. I’ve occasionally had minor issues with Subversion but the support staff is always responsive and gets things back up and running within a day or so.

In the past week, I have checked with many hosting services with most offering the same features. I have little computer technical experience and I could not understand the simple difference between a basic site and an ecommerce site. I tried a free websites with no success and no help from your support. I found InMotion Hosting by accident while surfing for ecommerce websites. I placed a call to their sales department expecting to listen to a long tree directory. Within moments I was connected to a representative who politely answered each of my questions and walked me through a couple of examples. I purchase the service and start developing my website. I will admit at first I was overwhelmed with the technical knowledge needed to create the site; however, overcoming my fear with small steps it became easier and now I am trying to incorporate new procedures into the site. I have called the support team and never had to wait more than a couple of moments and they were extremely courteous and helpful. I highly recommend InMotion Hosting and for the cost you will not find a better product and support.

For the last two years i had used a well-known hosting company for my site. Generally things were okay, but not more than okay. Every so often i would bump into a problem of the hosting company’s making and 50% of the time, getting it solved was exasperating, time consuming and too often did not work. I did some research and moved my site to InMotion.

I’ve noticed, and then tested to find a much faster response time on my site. My last host did not offer cPanel, and InMotion does. As a former linux admin, i am happy to have this control again. I’ve been with them about a month and will likely move all my client sites to InMotion.

Today, I bumped into a problem (of my own making) and needed some assistance. That gave me a chance to see how helpful this company would be. I corresponded with tech support via their online chat tool. Tech support was able to rapidly work through my issue, and had my problem resolved in quick order. I felt quite fortunate to have his high quality assistance.

So far, i am quite impressed with this company.

the team at imotions hosting are vary friendly and polite i like that and they went above and beyond the call many times helping me when the situation called for less always got back to me on time and even took the time to call me by phone to let me know what was going on. this is a wonderful hosting company and as a computer tech of 10 years i would recommend it to anyone they rock… and they help me spend wisely and gave me unbelievable savings and was able to grow the way i wanted. and for that i thank them vary much…

I’ve been with InMotion for over a year and have never had our site go down, so when earlier this week it did, I didn’t hesitate to ask the InMotion support desk for an explanation. Minutes after making my request I recieved an email from Matthew explaining that my Domain server needed to be renewed and then he went a step further to remind me who was hosting us. If it were possible for a Canadian Domain to be registered with InMotion, I would use them for that as well. Kudos to InMotion for their extreme superiority in every respect.

I have used InMotiong Hosting for the past 3 years with different companies I have worked with. I have also used GoDaddy, Register.com, WebHosting4Life, to name a few.

By far I will say that InMotiong is the best solution for features, cost, performance, and technical support.

Currently with InMotion, we host an intense web-app that we use for our day-to-day activities at work. I am 100% confident in InMotion’s hosting abilities for this, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else.

Very pleased with your billing dept.
One of my website was not used for a couple of years
and I called to request a refund of the most recent renewal.
It was handled with no problem.

I had a similar experience with Verio, which was a totally difference experience.

Our company deal with many websites, we shall use and recommend InMotion and stay away with Verio.

I like InMotion for their super customer support and high quality job! They suspended my site because of something that went wrong and they immediately contacted me over the phone and email proposing urgent help, without me turning to them in the first course. They are handling everything professionally and in quick mode so far for me! Keep like that guys. Inmotion offers a lot that others cannot. I recommend this service for their customer support and wide range of possibilities.

Support is prompt, but my website’s been getting quite a bit of downtime — so often that sometimes I give up contacting support when it happens — since most of the time, the answer is “We know about the issue and are currently working on it.” If you need a server that has 99.7% uptime, this isn’t the way to go.

Worst experience with billing ever. They absolutely refused to take my money to renew for the year, finally suggesting they could make all my “issues” go away for $25. They literally extorted me.

The very first person I spoke with (Jacquelyn, billing manager) was brusque and downright rude… for no reason, as I called in perfectly good faith. Everyone in billing acted like I was a big problem, even though I kept explicitly offering to give them the full $120 to reinstate my website–with whatever payment method they liked. They made me make three separate calls to my credit card company and then actually forced me to call my credit card’s MERCHANT SERVICES department FOR THEM, who were very nice about trying not to laugh at me. I AM NOT THE MERCHANT. “MERCHANT SERVICES” IS NOT AUTHORIZED TO SERVE ME.

Finally, after doing every asinine thing the billing department demanded I do, I called back and they let the phone ring for five full minutes until poor David in Tech answered. David is the first reason I give InMotion’s support two stars. He connected me with Czaja in Customer Service who was very sweet (the second star) and did her job, reinstating my website within ten minutes. But the seven phone calls and four hours of wasted time the billing department put me through is inexcusable.

I fear I only got through to them when I finally explained that if they would not reinstate my website (which I was BEGGING to pay for), I would be forced to sue them for theft of my website and lost business. I highly recommend you be aware that this is in your arsenal if your hosting company fraudulently attempts to withhold your goddamn website because they don’t feel like doing their job.

What kind of web-based business doesn’t allow the customer to update their billing information online?

Service has been as expected. No more, sometimes less.

Billing is horrible. I have had issues EVERY TIME i’ve tried to give them money.

Always a drama. Annoyed. Will switch services when I have time to deal with it all.

I am doing a slow build on my website, taking care of one problem at a time. Each time, whether it is I who messed it up or some technical difficulty, your tech department either gets it fixed themselves or they tell me what I need to do. Each problem has been fixed in a quick turn-around.

I’ve had difficulties in the past with billing, and the number of domains per account isn’t sufficient, but tech support has always been great – courteous and helpful. Really appreciate the speed with which account changes are processed.

Once in the past I had a pretty horrible experience with InMotion support; this time, interaction was speedy, but slightly clumsy. If support has set a goal to improve, they have definitely come a long way. I salute you on your progress.

I have called several times with issues and have always been exceptionally pleased by the support. I never have had to wait long, if at all to speak to anyway, and not only do you get to speak with techs who’s first language is English (a huge plus), they know what they’re talking about, and most importantly, take care of the issue very promptly. Very pleased!
