We used powweb on a recommendation from some interenet gurues (upon closer review they are using MT..funny) they support guy was completely lost. Setting up an add on domain was painfully cumbersome…they use their own control panel and the cherry on top is that its almost impossible to get a DB setup without having to call in. Upon requesting a refund during the trial period…they stalled and dodged but after many emails and phone calls…complied. Total waste of time…stay away!

I used powweb for 2 years and always had problems. There was this one time when they were “moving” mysql databases and i lost all the connections and all my websites stopped working! Bad service and support.

PowWeb was one of the first web hosts I have had experience with. My site was down more frequently than it should be. My database was hacked and no support was given. They had also upgraded everything at one point and moved all the files around which completely messed up my site.

Powweb sucks.

Even though the price is attractive, at 20th of January 2009, a lot of sites hosted at powweb got injected with a malicious code. A lot of consumers complaint about this in powweb forum, but they are not humble to admit that their security system is at fault.

Instead they changed all of the customer password and try to “educate” their customer about password security. Their affiliate program sucks too, tooks several days or even week before someone answer questions given.

STAY AWAY from powweb!

the worst hosting company. They make your site offline even without notice and doesn’t give u the facility they advertise. Very slow server.. I won’t use this server even if i don’t have to pay anything…
