Ok, this site is hosted by squarepace. But anyway, I should warn anybody looking at signing with them: there is no backup policy. Once you have build a site or a blog with them you are stuck: no way to backup it, no way to recover your images, etc. Not happy? You resign and loose all your work. It's a nice looking and friendly jell: you are stuck, no way to export your work (except the content of you text files...). I have been there for 6 years and I have to build again from scratch, no help on they side. If you are a photograph, run away!

I wanted to write about Squarespace so others will not find themselves in the position I am in. I would never use this for personal use. I have to use it for work and it is extremely frustrating and squarespace refuses to get on the phone to discuss issues.
This is a horrible fake program I have ever had to use.

I bought the Pro package a couple of months back after evaluating their 14-day trial. Though a bit expensive but I liked the simplicity, technology and excellent support. Till the time I successfully registered my domain, the Squarespace team consistently helped me.

Though I feel the templates and widgets are few, but the product is excellent and I hope new features soon.

I've been with Squarespace since mid-2005. Find them very good. Initially they weren't tailored very well for Adsense and the like but the latest designs and templates have fixed that. Takes a bit of getting used to but once you do it works very well. Oh yeah...they used to have a few compatibility problems with Mac/Safari but they've fixed that. Best part is they are HIGHLY optimised for Search Engine Optimization. Google seems to love them. I get all the bells and whistles with the Pro Account and it costs me $15 a month. When I had Adsense on the site I was pulling $200 a month off it. I much prefer them to Blogger and Wordpress - both of which I use as well. AND they use Peer1 servers out of NewYork - just like Marcus Frind's HUGE free dating site plentyoffish.com. You can email me if you want any advice. Cheers, Mal, Paris.

I have used Word Press, Blogger, and have a separate website based in drupal and have no training in web development. Squarespace made creating my newest site very easy and painless. I built my site using just the templates within the system and it was fully up and functioning within just a couple of hours. I have added features with the greatest of ease and have found the tutorials very helpful. For anyone who is new to blogging or self-made websites this is a great way to start out and do something that doesn’t break your bank! Cheers to the Squarespace team! M

I have been using Squarespace.com for the past 2 months and I have to say that it is awesome. I had my site built well before my trial was expired, in fact I signed up with them just after the first week of my trial. They have plenty of "how to" articles in the online Squarespace manual. Also saved 10% by listening to the "Lightsource" podcast over on itunes. Lightsource is a podcast about studio lighting. They usually mention the current promo code within the 1st 10 seconds of the podcast. It's 10% off every month of service, not just one month. Anyways that's my two cents.
