Comments: Utilizing VDS packaged hosting has its advantages and disadvantages. The advantages are too many to name, the only disadvantage is that you don't get constant releases of new pre-packaged software. Jumpline is incredible. Their support staff is quick and their uptime is better than any other host I've ever seen. I have over 30 sites hosted with them and never have downtime... never!

I utilized NetCraft to find Jumpline by reviewing number of accounts that had left vs. stayed with Jumpline. Jumpline had the least number of people leaving so that sold me on them. If price is what you're evaluating your host for - go elsewhere. If support and stability is what you want... Jumpline is the ultimate hosting partner.

One last note... you can even resell reseller accounts with Jumpline.

Comments: For an individual user, I'd probably rate this a little higher.
      More like 9, 6, 9, 8.

If you want to resell, don't bother, and get your own box. The provisions with a reseller account make it too tough to compete in any market.

The platform is nice, as provided by Sphera, and for an individual account it beats a shared environment most any day. Be careful though, as you may find your account on a struggling box with 800 other domains or more.

A better option may be Media Temple's Grid Server.

The support, reseller or not, at the time I had them (for about 4 years) need to pull their head out. I found myself having to "hold their hand" so to speak, to help troubleshoot their own equipment.

After several latency and resource issues, and hold their hand to help them troubleshoot their network/equipment, I ran straight to Server Beach and just bought my own dedicated box.
